Stop renting the audience.

Brisk was paying to borrow attention. We built it a place of its own, with VICE as the editorial partner.

01 / The situation

The situation

Brisk lived in other people's channels. Every campaign bought an audience for a few weeks and then gave it back. We wanted the opposite: every dollar and every partner pointing at something Brisk owned, so the audience stayed.

02 / The system

The system

Six sources route audience attention toward the owned Bodega hub. In Rent mode attention drains away. In Own mode it accumulates around the hub.

VICE × Brisk Bodega was a paid, owned and earned partnership. Culture content in music, fashion, art, sports and more ran on VICE and mirrored onto Brisk's own Bodega platform. Paid, syndication, influencer and social work all routed back to that hub. It was a content operation, not a campaign, and several of the video series outlived it.

The same system ran the first influencer programs in PepsiCo's history, with Vine creators.

What I'd build with AI now

The Bodega worked because one team could feed one hub across a dozen partners. Today a small team can do that across ten times the formats. Briefs, versioning and partner handoffs run through one AI-assisted content system, and the hub learns from every piece that lands.
