Permission is designed.

A Fortune 100 insurer, a regulated salesforce, and a social program built so agents could actually use it.

01 / The situation

The situation

Agents and advisors were where the relationships lived, but regulation kept most of them off social. The brand had channels everywhere and duplicated agency spend behind them. I won a multi-round case to bring the work in-house, then had to make the new setup safe enough that compliance would say yes.

02 / The system

The system

Approved content travels from Nationwide brand channels through brand pages, agents, advisors and associates to members. A second diagram routes public posts into Sales lead, Service, Brand and PR lanes.

We built a hub-and-spoke network: brand channels feed brand pages, brand pages feed agents' and advisors' pages, and members amplify from there. Behind it, one listening intake tagged every conversation and routed it to sales, service, brand or PR, with everything tracked. The command center stopped being a monitoring room and started steering content and media spend.

I hold Series 6 and 26 licenses from this era, which is why financial services is a vertical I still work in.

05 / What I'd build with AI now

What I'd build with AI now

The intake router was a rules engine and a lot of people. Now a model can read, tag and route in seconds, draft compliant replies for an agent to approve, and keep an audit trail that compliance can read. Same design principle: permission first, speed second.
